DEPRIVATIONS - A NEW BLOCKBUSTER SERIES with interview

Here we are in the UK in the midst of election campaigning.

I have written in this blog how this novel is a reflection of world events.

I have told you about the controversial issues around President Trump right from the American election with Hillary Clinton.

Oh the questions around his abilities to rationalize.  There are now doubts about his sanity.

I've also shown you the French election with the winning President Emmanuel Macron who defeated the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen - nicknamed the "grand priestess of fear".

And that irrational fear about Islam that we're very familiar with in the UK and USA. 

Are these world events "A POLITICAL CONFLICT OF LIES, HALF TRUTHS AND PSYCHOS - AGAIN"?

Let's think about these fears and prejudices...

Recently I was doing work on highlighting anti-hate crime issues.  I did a big art piece called ERi which had pictures taken by an official Police photographer.

These photos were taken outside the Greater Manchester Police headquarters.

I went into the Police HQ several times but there were issues they had problems with in their campaigns.

Political cut backs.  So much for fighting fears and prejudices...

And ERi was made using fragments of CDs.  So I promoted environmentalism as well.

I made several art pieces using pieces of CDs and DVDs like these:

And each time in my blogs I have told you how my Deprivations novel reflects world events.

Perhaps a novel is no more the truth than the political fictions we hear each time we turn on the TV.

At least we can shut the book, turn off the computer, your phone or even your television.

Err so what is (fake) "news" and my novel are similar in that way.  Except I don't pretend I'm telling you facts.

Oh perhaps we can't escape the political lies but at least my Deprivations novel let's us see them more cynically.

Yes there are aims to have sequels to Deprivations. 'Revelations' concerns another City majorly damaged by an unknown missile.  This damage has led to that City's views being split by rationalism and religious fanaticism.

Presently I am completing a novel entitled 'Imaginary Friends and Psychos'.

I have completed another novel called 'The Ruler of Hell - The Devil's Sister'.  This book will soon be published.

In the meantime enjoy Deprivations and be happy it's not, as Trump would say, a "fake" novel...
