So President Trump has expressed NATO is 'no longer obsolete' as Russia vetoes UN resolution.
Quite a change from his open (and controversial) admiration for Russia's President Putin.
It's very evident Trump's belligerent stance in the USA has been tamed by the reality of international politics.
But we still have investigations concerning Russian involvement with the US Presidential election.
In 13th April The Week magazine it's expressed
It seems Hilary Clinton was telling facts about Trump and Russian issues - although we could be skeptically looking at his links with multiple criminal operations. However there are investigations regarding Trump's former national security adviser Mike Flynn:
Trump's international status has certainly taken unusual twists and supporters beyond Russia as well.
In China, the Maoists (a present day minority) want the East to be red again. Bizarrely, Trump's opposition to America's corrupt political establishment has made them supporters of him. Yet they ignore his "opulent lifestyle and business interests". However, they do applaud his opposition to globalization. Somehow I don't think Trump will become communist.
(That would certainly grab the headlines.)
Of course right next to China is North Korea, a country both China and USA are worried about.
And it seems Trump is playing the wrong cards about that country.
He can't scare North Korea. In fact its ruler, Kim Jong-un, is likely to be more prepared and arrogant.
America's repeatedly made this kind of mistake before.
So how does all this fit with my 'Deprivations' novel?
Think globalization - the increasing awareness and need for various countries for international relations and 'social alliances'.
(Just as my 'Deprivations' novel is published internationally.)
The City in 'Deprivations' has been damaged by repeated civil wars and the chemical repercussions from them.
Finally the Company in the City controls everything. (Think 'Globalization'.)
There are still disagreements and plots in the City but no wars anymore.
But then I'm giving the story away. Read the novel and find out.
Wherever in the world you are Amazon worldwide sell the 'Deprivations' novel.
(Initially, 'Deprivations' is on Kindle which can easily be read for free on any Android device and on iphones.)
