Reading My 'Deprivations' Novel from 1pm at Chapter One Books, 19 Lever Street, M1 1BY Manchester6/5/2017 I've now got a few hours to go before I read out extracts from my book and talk about how I write. And how I write is often combined with my experiences which include when I have taught adults of various ages. I'm not freaked out. In fact I remember teaching classes of students at a university about gender issues. Plus I was marking half of their essays (their form teacher marked the other half). Didn't worry me at all. Once you've been a front man singing for several bands (including being a guest singer) nothing can bother you. Except stand up comedy which I did a couple of times - now THAT I found scary. I should add I got applause not boos. But I'll never do that again. Anyhow. The session is: Tales of the Macabre: A Gothic Reader's Group from 1pm at Chapter One Books, 19 Lever Street, Manchester, M1 1BY At least it'll be a distraction from the elections in the UK and in France. I can certainly talk of the links between the 'Deprivations' novel and politics in the world. Remember - you can download the Kindle version of this 'Deprivations' novel Monday, 8th May and Tuesday 9th May. Click here:
