'Deprivations' - So the World Seems Full of Bad Rulers - It's Seems we Keep Making the Same Mistakes

Do the rulers we elect care?

"Why don't you all just fffffffffffffffffffffffade away?"

I looked at the run down of what it is alleged to be the 10 worst presidents in the US.

Of course President Nixon was listed as one of the 10 worst and perhaps no one is surprised President W Bush was also listed as he left the country seriously in debt after a couple of ineffective and expensive international conflicts/wars.  (Do you know America spends far more on "defense" than China and Russia put together?  Virtually three times more than the two of them put together.)

What is really odd is that both presidents were elected twice.  So  who can we really blame?

But anyway...

You see, America has it fairly easy.

Countries like Venezuela, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq are far more dangerous and unstable.  Especially the last two.  Certainly Iraq after the war.  (Iraq used to be one of the safest and progressive countries in the Middle East for women.  Now it's one of the most dangerous.)

Trump also seems to be ignoring some very significant social problems America has to deal with.  The dramatic publicity around racial issues is not only incredibly counter-productive in America it's also discouraging tourists and investors from coming over.  And they bring money.

America is certainly still dealing with the radical racial changes following its Civil War in the 1800s (which apparently Trump doesn't quite understand properly):

  • “Perhaps as a reaction to increasing racist and hateful rhetoric in America, there is also a pronounced awareness of racial inequality in schools and a growing concern about the quality of education their children actually receive as compared to the education that white children receive,” said Wade Henderson, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference Education Fund.

Effectively Barrack Obama was a massive exception to the rule about the prejudice against non-white people in America.  Let's face it most people are not as bright as Barrack Obama or John F Kennedy or Bill Clinton etc etc.

I'm not suggesting that Britain is some absolutely fantastic place to live.  We certainly have many social problems which our rulers are somewhat reluctant to deal with.  Largely because it's such a big problem and it's not quite as newsworthy as BREXIT.

Plus many people don't really like being having their faults and prejudices pointed out to them.

Woah, this is quite a major blog.

I'm supposed to be talking mainly about my book.

I'll get to it now.  You see, my 'Deprivations' novel does touch upon people's prejudices around  intellectual abilities.  Coupled with sexism.  And it also touches upon people's views about their rulers.  Plus what people accept in the strange self-destructive things that some do as they think it'll give them status.

I can now I think about the present prejudices against women which include genital mutilation.  Yes it still goes on around the world and it's fueled by male insecurity.

Let's face it if you're happy in yourself why would you ever want to make somebody else unhappy or uncomfortable?

How men and women are is how man and women are.  I just accept it.

(By the way, I'm not being prejudiced against gender transition.  If somebody has the need to transition from one gender to another I am not remotely against it.  I don't see why I should be against it.)

I should mention at this point you can download this 'Deprivations' novel for free on Monday, 8 May or Tuesday, 9 May.  Just go to the Amazon website.
